Job description

Location: Home-office based in a major Canadian metropolitan area, preferably Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, or Calgary

Travel: Up to 50% throughout Canada, with periodic travel to Fresno, California

Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried

Compensation
  • Base Salary: $115,000-$135,000 CAD
  • Annual Bonus Target: Up to 30% of base salary, based on company and individual performance
  • Total Target Cash Compensation: $149,500-$175,500 CAD

Compensation within the posted range will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and geographic location.

Position Summary

Trillium Flow Technologies is seeking a high-performing Regional Sales Manager to manage and grow its channel partner network across Canada. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans that maximize revenue, market share, and profitability throughout the assigned territory. The Regional Sales Manager will identify new business opportunities, strengthen channel partnerships, support consulting engineers and end users, and drive sales performance through effective territory management and forecasting. This highly visible role requires strong technical sales knowledge, business development expertise, and the ability to build long-term relationships within industrial markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company revenue and profitability objectives.
  • Drive bookings growth and achieve or exceed annual sales targets.
  • Identify and develop new markets, business opportunities, and customer relationships.
  • Manage and support manufacturer representatives and distributor channels to ensure effective territory coverage.
  • Participate in all stages of the sales cycle, including prospecting, specification development, proposal preparation, negotiation, and closing.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Analyze market intelligence, competitor activity, and regional trends to support sales strategy.
  • Assist consulting engineers, channel partners, and customers with project design, specification reviews, and budgetary quotations.
  • Prepare written proposals and negotiate agreements in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with Application Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and company leadership to support strategic alignment and customer satisfaction.
  • Travel throughout Canada to meet with channel partners, customers, consulting engineers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Comply with all applicable safety requirements and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Experience and Skills
  • Minimum of five years of sales leadership or sales management experience.
  • Minimum of five years of sales experience within industrial or other core served markets.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and market share within an assigned territory.
  • Strong technical sales, business development, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience participating in complex sales cycles, from opportunity identification through negotiation and closing.
  • Strong territory planning, sales forecasting, and market-analysis skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop productive relationships with channel partners, consulting engineers, end users, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% throughout Canada and periodically to the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing manufacturer representatives and/or distributor networks.
  • Experience selling vertical turbine pumps, wastewater or solids-handling pumps, rotating equipment, or related industrial products.
  • Proven record of identifying new markets, developing customer relationships, and delivering measurable business growth.
  • Familiarity with municipal water and wastewater applications.
  • Experience supporting consulting engineers with product specifications, project design, and budgetary quotations.
