Description

The Regional Sales Manager (Internal Wholesaler) is responsible for supporting the business development and administrative / marketing activities for the retail investment within his / her determined territory. Located in our downtown Toronto office, working in partnership with the District Vice President, the successful candidate will build and maintain strong business relationships in order to meet and exceed established sales goals, quotas, targets or objectives within their regional territory.

Responsibilities

Focus on service and business development support with a strong emphasis on prospecting activities to financial advisors.

  • Introduction calls to all referrals / prospects
  • Arrange meetings for sales professionals
  • Follow-up calls after all sales meetings
  • Interact with investment advisors to provide investment and value add solutions for their clients
  • Support / partner with investment advisors – providing up to date portfolio and market information, and marketing ideas
  • Work closely and collaboratively with your sales team – organizing meetings, events, campaigns
  • Leverage all tools, resources, and analytics available in order to support the District Vice President and advisors effectively
  • Coordinate various administrative tasks and ensure the appropriate follow up
  • Attend sales meetings with sales professionals as required
  • Collaborate with the sales team in the development and implementation of sales strategies

Experience and Requirements

  • University Degree
  • Canadian Securities Course preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years previous experience providing sales / client support to investment advisors
  • Keen interest and knowledge of capital markets – both fixed-income and equities
  • Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines
  • Interest and ability in sales development
  • Organizational skills to effectively manage a territory activity rotation
  • Results-oriented, ability to work under pressure and manage priorities
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and Morningstar is an asset
  • Knowledge of National Instrument NI 81-105 is an asset
