Job Description

Role: Regional Sales Manager for products used to monitor high voltage rotating machines.

Location: This is a remote-based role, supporting Western Canada and USA.

Your Impact

The Regional Sales Manager will meet order, sales, and market-share goals within the assigned territory through direct sales, training, and management. You will be part of an innovative culture emphasizing training, personal development, and growth. Our success is rooted in high-voltage asset reliability solutions for industries such as Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper, Mining, among others. We encourage participation in technical groups like IEC, IEEE, and Industrial Application Societies.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute sales strategies for the assigned geographic area to meet company goals.
  2. Maintain direct contact with customer accounts, monitor satisfaction, industry trends, and competitors.
  3. Build and manage a network of representatives, including selection, training, and supervision.
  4. Maintain product training certifications as required.
  5. Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and conferences.
  6. Coordinate with the company to ensure appropriate product offerings based on customer needs.
  7. Update and maintain relevant databases (opportunity funnel, contact manager, outage schedule, etc.).

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • 3-5 years of successful outside sales experience in high-voltage equipment.
  • Experience working with or managing manufacturer’s representatives.
  • Knowledge of electric utility & generation industries and/or generator/motor winding maintenance and design.
  • Training in safety standards for high-voltage work.
  • Technical product and application knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills, including group presentations using MS PowerPoint.
  • Strong oral and written communication in the native language and English.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently and travel extensively.
  • Valid passport and driver’s license.
  • Willingness to participate in training in Canada for up to 30 days, 2-3 times in the first year.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSEE (Electrical Engineering) or BSME (Mechanical Engineering).

Working Conditions

  • Office environment, either at the company or home office.
  • Approximately 60% travel after training, which is conducted onsite in Toronto.
