Job summary

Battlefield Equipment Rentals in Brampton, ON is seeking a Regional Health & Safety Trainer to promote a strong safety culture across the region by delivering compliant safety training and monitoring outcomes.

You will develop engaging training plans, maintain records, and collaborate with employees and customers to ensure regulatory requirements are met while travel within the province is required. This full-time role offers benefits and growth within the Toromont Industries family.

Qualifications

  • Two years of experience in a training role with ability to develop engaging plans and facilitate learning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence speaking to groups of varying sizes.
  • Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory safety requirements.
  • High attention to detail with strong documentation and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to support customer and internal schedules, including occasional after-hours training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Background in construction with general knowledge of equipment and products.
  • Excellent communication and customer service mindset.
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • Time-management and self-starting capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel within the province as required.
  • Full G Class driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Knowledge of CAT equipment is a plus.
  • Experience monitoring training effectiveness and providing follow-up as required.

Responsibilities

  • Be the face of the health and safety department with professional interactions via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Deliver safety training programs to internal staff and external customers.
  • Maintain accurate safety and training records for the region.
  • Ensure compliance with training and legislative requirements and document them.
  • Develop engaging training plans and learning materials.
  • Collaborate with employees to identify strengths and tailor learning plans.
  • Deliver structured learning experiences to support safe work practices.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and provide follow-up coaching or retraining as required.
  • Inventory, maintain, and distribute training aids and materials.
  • Work with colleagues to foster a supportive and efficient environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and environmentally sound practices.

WhatYou’llBe Doing

What We’re Looking For
  • TrainingExperience: At least two years of experience in trainingrolewith the ability to develop engaging training plans andfacilitateeffective learning experiences.
