Job summary

Battlefield Equipment Rentals, part of the Toromont Industries Ltd. family, seeks a project-focused professional to work in a hybrid role near a local branch.

You will travel to other branches and our corporate office, gathering requirements, shaping solutions, and coordinating with leaders, IT, customers and vendors. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in related roles, strong organizational and analytical skills, and proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Project Management or related industry (or work experience equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a related position
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft 365, Power Platform, SRM / Rental Management System
• Good organization, strong analytical, problem solving skills, high attention to detail
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and managing meetings to create consensus
• Travel to branches will be required
• Bilingual is an asset—French & English

What This Looks Like

This is a hybrid position, where you will be able to work out of a branch in proximity to where you are located. When required you will need to travel to our other branches for projects, and our Corporate office in Stoney Creek.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Work closely with the project team, company’s leaders and users, Toromont's IT department, customers, suppliers and vendors on various projects and initiatives;
• Gather requirements/needs and collaborate with key stakeholders to determine solutions, access impact into existing work processes and systems, facilitate project scope, tasks, goals, deliverables, manage integration and produce documentation to be shared with different audiences;
• Analyze the current and future state of business processes;
• Translate requirements into use cases/test conditions and expected results for product, performance to aid with own/testing group’s user acceptance and/or operational acceptance testing for different applications before implementation;
• Structure business problems to develop strategies, conducting analysis, and building fact base to support those strategies.
• Promote innovation by applying subject matter expertise to generate forward-thinking ideas as well as critical thinking to find opportunities for improvement
• Support implementation and post-implementation planning and activities.
• Organize and maintain various files on the network;
• Manage administrative tasks according to demand and projects
• Provide regular updates to the leadership team on the status of projects and communicate information to the team/ users.
• Other tasks assigned by the manager or any other person designated by the company.
• Provide risk factors, operational / process-related analysis and support to existing and future applications, different tasks/ projects/ initiatives
• Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest.
• Manage multiple concurrent requests effectively and collaborate with diverse multi-functional teams.
• Good communicator who can negotiate effectively with business to clarify needs vs. wants/likes in order to balance business direction/requirements with cost of development and risk;
• Has a natural ability to breakdown, decompose and describe business needs into Stories supporting an iterative and incremental delivery model
• Responsible for project management related activities in project life cycle
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• The ability to provide excellent customer relations while keeping a positive attitude in a fast-paced, high-tempo work environment;
• Passionate about the rental industry and technology and actively seeks new opportunities to learn

• Experience in collaborating and working within a team environment across multi-discipline / department teams as well as autonomously
• Experience facilitating meetings, feedback sessions, and briefings to create consensus among stakeholders.
• Results and detail-oriented
• Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management, and project management techniques and tools and has demonstrated success in project delivery and execution of project management methods.
• Travel will be required to our branches;
• Bilingual is considered an asset- French & English.
