Job description

Direct key global revenue management projects and initiatives to the hotel community through partnerships with operations and Revenue Management teams that work directly with hotels. Participate in developing key global revenue management initiatives as the voice of the hotel community, providing continuous feedback to Americas revenue management leadership to ensure successful adoption. Manage the development, implementation, and assessment of revenue-related strategies for hotels in an assigned region, including pricing, demand analysis, yield management, market segmentation, business mix optimization, and selling strategies, in accordance with company policies and industry best practices.

Assist in leading regional teams and hotels by providing revenue management strategies and tactics to maximize revenue and profit streams. Support Company Managed Hotels (CMH) to drive performance metrics.

Drive the development, implementation, and operation of strategic and tactical programs designed to enhance revenue management services penetration and deliver competitive advantages. Responsible for performance and business trend analysis, process evaluation, budgeting, field-level training, and deployment of resources to achieve strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Facilitate communication and training of key Americas revenue management projects and initiatives to the hotel community via HPS area teams and other operations partners.
  2. Provide feedback to global revenue management as the voice of the hotel community to ensure successful initiative adoption.
  3. Implement brand and regional pricing, yield, and selling strategies, and explore new revenue capture methods. Guide leadership to incorporate hotel needs into system enhancements and best practices.
  4. Foster relationships between teams, Revenue Management Services, and HPS to ensure strategic alignment and resolution of conflicts.
  5. Develop, consult, and manage revenue management systems and best practices, supporting hotels in full system utilization for revenue maximization.
  6. Analyze revenue strategies for key markets and management companies to identify opportunities for increasing revenue and profit.
  7. Support regional marketing programs and product implementation as needed.
  8. Coach and develop team members and Revenue Management Services staff, serving as an advisor to ensure goal achievement.
  9. Guide team in problem identification and resolution, escalating issues as needed.
  10. Occasionally visit hotels to assist in training and ensure effective problem resolution.
  11. Develop innovative revenue performance strategies to support franchise teams in markets.
  12. Assist in implementing and communicating strategic plans and new initiatives to hotels.
  13. Champion operational models for WHSD.
  14. Drive revenue performance and delivery of key metrics.
  15. Collaborate on competitive data analysis, trend research, and development of strategic tools and programs.
  16. Present at leadership and regional meetings.
  17. Manage functions within budget, establish performance standards, and operating procedures.

Key Skills & Experiences

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Management, Business, Statistics, Marketing, Finance, or relevant field, or equivalent experience.

Experience – 8-10 years in hotel operations management, revenue management, or consulting, with proficiency in reservations and revenue management systems like HOLIDEX Plus and PERFORM, including hotel pricing and yield management.

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

  • Project management experience from conception to implementation.
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Relationship management with leadership and hotel representatives.
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Understanding industry and market revenue opportunities.
  • Knowledge of hotel pricing, yield management, and sales strategies.

  • Knowledge of IHG systems and training programs is advantageous.
