Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Regional Project Controls Lead for the Ontario & Atlantic region. The role provides regional leadership for Project Controls teams, partnering with regional leaders to establish a consistent framework and governance across business centers.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least ten years of experience in project controls or related fields, including Earned Value Management, forecasting, margin analysis, and portfolio governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of progressively responsible experience in project controls, project accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Proven success leading teams and influencing senior leaders across a broad portfolio.
• Advanced understanding of Earned Value Management, Financial Percent Complete, gross margin, forecasting, DSO, and portfolio governance.
• Experience leading organizational change and building teams across multiple groups.
• Ability to synthesize complex portfolio information into clear priorities and executive recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead Project Controls teams across the region and coordinate priorities with leaders.
• Partner on portfolio margin, risk, resourcing, and performance initiatives.
• Review regional reports to identify trends and risks requiring action.
• Participate in financial-management forums with concise recommendations.
• Monitor regional project performance and address margin impacts with leadership.
• Help develop and implement the Project Controls framework and processes.
• Provide guidance on strategy, governance, staffing, and implementation.
• Lead change management and capability development for consistent practices.
• Promote collaboration across regions and transfer lessons learned.
