Responsibilities include managing finances, customer service, marketing, staffing, and human resources, often through a team. The ROD is part of a leadership team comprising the GVP, Senior ROD/RVP (if applicable), Regional Medical Director (RMD), Area Medical Director (AMD), and Regional Technician Director (RTD). Improve workflow and staff efficiency, monitor hospital hours and appointment availability, maintain environments focused on client/patient satisfaction, and address non-medical client complaints.
  2. Operations Team Training: Build strong relationships with Medical Directors and Hospital Managers. Promote an “owner mentality” to support business strategies and hospital results. Assist in training staff in customer service, business operations, and effective meetings.
  3. Human Resources: Foster a healthy workplace culture, manage performance to boost morale and retention, ensure legal compliance, conduct performance reviews, support hiring, training, and developing hospital staff.
  4. Hospital Production Management: Drive revenue growth, evaluate service and product pricing, audit hospital production, implement price adjustments, and manage discount policies and invoicing.
  5. Hospital Financial Management: Oversee cash control standards, utilize financial reports to improve performance, monitor expenditures and payroll, and review inventory management.
  6. Marketing Management: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to keep hospital marketing current, support marketing events, train staff on marketing initiatives, and review strategies.
  7. Champion VCA Culture: Embed VCA values in hospitals, promote teamwork, and coordinate with leadership to ensure operational consistency and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Leadership experience in multi-site operations, preferably in healthcare or related fields
  • Strong financial skills, with experience managing P&L and growing revenue
  • Proven success in leading high-performing teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging healthcare professionals
