A leading food service provider in Winnipeg seeks a Regional Multi Unit Sales professional to develop customer relationships, ensure contract compliance, and drive sales growth. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in outside sales, strong negotiation skills, and a background in food service distribution. Competitive benefits and a family culture are offered.
A member of the Regional Multi Unit Sales team, develops and serves Regional Multi Unit accounts. As the trusted advisor for a select portfolio of Key Regional customers, maintains and grows relationships, seeks new opportunities, provides direction to administration teams, and acts as the liaison between customers and divisions. Responsible for contract compliance, sales growth, and profitability.
The successful candidate should be able to commute to the GFS Winnipeg or Calgary DC at least 4 days a week.

Serves as the primary point of contact for all customer business and account-related issues. Coordinates resources to present "one face to the customer." Interacts frequently with external customers, providing an exchange of information and problem-solving techniques that align with GFS culture and business objectives. Leverages the value and expertise of GFS.
Builds long-term customer relationships while meeting short-term objectives. Schedules and facilitates account business reviews and develops action plans to meet joint account objectives.
Understanding the customer’s business and priorities
Develops account business plans that include customer and GFS objectives, implementation strategies, and promotes the customers' and GFS’ values and positions, while selling and promoting the GFS brand throughout the customer’s organization.
Coordinates and communicates strategic account activity and engages senior leadership sponsorship where appropriate. Coordinates internal account planning sessions to ensure customer success. Maintains peer relationships to share issues and ideas.
Reviews monthly reports to ensure contract compliance and profitability. Utilizes customer profitability and pricing models to negotiate agreements. Sources new products and initiates product conversions, seeking category penetration opportunities.
Participates in GPO/Customer annual conferences and tradeshows. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requires strong written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills, along with problem-solving capabilities. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently or within a team. Customer service and time management skills are essential. Negotiation skills are necessary to bring consensus or reconcile differences.
Knowledge of principles and methods for promoting and selling products/services, including marketing strategies, product demonstrations, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Also, knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service, including needs assessment, quality standards, and customer satisfaction evaluation.
Skills at persuading others, social perceptiveness, and creative thinking for developing new applications, ideas, or systems. Must have a desktop or laptop computer, networked printer/copier/fax, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
