Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Regional Mechanical Project Engineering Specialist to support development and execution of capital projects across Northeast plants. You will define technical solutions, validate deliverables, and coordinate stakeholders to meet safety, reliability, and business objectives.

Reporting to the Regional Capital Projects Engineering Manager, you will review drawings, manage interface with operations, maintenance, and external partners, and travel regularly to plants to provide

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification that provides a strong technical foundation.

Responsibilities

• Define mechanical requirements, project boundaries, and engineering deliverables throughout project development and execution phases;
• Review and validate drawings, technical specifications, equipment lists, and engineering documentation to ensure quality and compliance;
• Coordinate technical activities with engineering firms, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to support successful project execution;
• Contribute to feasibility studies, option analyses, preliminary estimates, schedules, and technical recommendations;
• Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, risk assessments, and progress monitoring activities;
• Identify technical issues, recommend practical solutions, and elevate complex decisions when required.
