Job description

Description

This is a hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to report to the Western Regional Office in Calgary at least three times per week. The role involves collaborating with internal teams such as National Brand Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Digital Marketing, and external partners like dealer networks and agency partners. Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will serve as the SME for retail marketing activities, including regional incentives, promotions, digital marketing, and analytics, with the goal of growing business, market share, and volume in your region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Achieve retail volume and market share objectives for the region.
  2. Meet KPIs related to high-value behaviors.
  3. Identify sales opportunities and develop plans with the Regional Sales Manager.
  4. Be the SME on vehicle incentives and in-market offers.
  5. Promote incentives and digital properties to grow the business regionally.
  6. Build relationships with the dealer network and Regional Dealer Board members.
  7. Participate in regional and national GM forums.
  8. Lead the RMAB process, including dealer engagement and budget management.
  9. Coordinate with legal and finance teams for RMAB and budget planning.
  10. Manage co-op advertising programs and ensure timely market offers.
  11. Support vehicle launches and auto shows.
  12. Oversee regional compliance and sponsorship initiatives.
  13. Collaborate with internal teams and agencies on creative and messaging.
  14. Manage sponsorship portfolios and ensure brand alignment.
  15. Oversee Tier 2 agencies and regional resources.
  16. Work with regional leadership and support dealer and district manager communications.
  17. Stay informed on media landscape to optimize budget utilization.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Analytics, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Advertising and media experience, with agency management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of retail dealership operations.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Automotive retail or wholesale experience valued.
  • Willingness to work extended hours occasionally.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within Western Canada.
