Salary Range: $75,000/yr Base + Commission

CMLS Financial is looking to hire a Regional Business Development Manager to expand our Aveo non-prime sales team! We are looking to build a team of experienced, motivated self-starters who possess an entrepreneurial mindset with a keen desire to be part of building CMLS Financial’s Aveo non-prime product offering. The Regional Business Development Manager will be responsible for originating residential mortgages through the mortgage broker channel. As a result of the successful launch of our Residential Division in 2013, you will be joining an existing team of high-performance Business Development Managers with full support from our experienced Risk team including underwriters and document specialists.

About The Role

  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial mortgage referral relationships with selected mortgage brokers in your region.
  • Provide unparalleled knowledge and sales support in the non-prime mortgage space, product and underwriting training to all of your business partners.
  • Take ownership of your territory’s volume objectives and make it happen while maintaining both deal quality and underwriting efficiency standards.
  • Liaise with your colleagues in underwriting in resolving issues with business partners.
This Role Is For You If You Have

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the mortgage brokerage community in your region preferred.
  • Strong background in near prime/sub prime residential mortgage credit is mandatory.
  • A master in sales, relationship management and development with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple demands under tight deadlines.
  • Desire to earn above average income by leveraging the aforementioned attributes.
  • Bachelor degree in business, finance, or marketing considered an asset.
  • Residential underwriting experience also considered an asset.
  • A Mortgage Broker license or Mortgage Agent license is required or must be obtained within 6 months of being hired.
