About the Position:

The Regional Maintenance role is primarily responsible for general, preventative, and repair maintenance of a portfolio of buildings, including apartment units and grounds. The role responds to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve safety concerns and supports various maintenance activities such as minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting to ensure excellent service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service
  • Provide a high level of cooperation, service, and support to residents.
  • Respond promptly to resident issues and service requests.
Operations
  • Perform maintenance and repairs under the direction of the Regional or Property Manager.
  • Complete service requests for in-suite and common area issues promptly.
  • Handle in-suite turnovers, including light and heavy maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct appliance repairs, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs safely.
  • Inspect grounds and facilities for maintenance needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards.
  • Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
  • Coordinate with contractors when necessary.
Leadership & Management
  • Train new team members on maintenance tasks and inspections.
  • Assist in scheduling and directing work as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficient with basic handheld and electrical tools.
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and painting.
  • Trade certification/license is an asset.
  • Familiarity with community rules and regulations.
  • Experience in multi-residential industry is an asset.
  • WHMIS certification is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is an asset.
