Overview

GA Foods is seeking a results-driven Regional Healthcare Manager to support growth in the Managed Medicaid channel. This non-traditional sales role focuses on building strong relationships with managed care organizations, case managers, and community agencies. The ideal candidate will have a background in Medicaid/Medicare and a passion for improving health outcomes through nutrition. Responsibilities
  • Present GA Foods’ products and nutrition-based programs to various audiences:
    1. Managed care organizations
    2. Case managers
    3. Social workers
    4. Physicians, nurses, and dietitians
  • Promote service engagement through compelling presentations and relationship-building strategies.
  • Plan and execute efficient weekly schedules for virtual and in-person meetings, educational events, and drop-ins.
  • Coordinate staff meetings, in-service trainings, and healthcare conferences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at health plans and referral sources.
  • Define key clients/markets in collaboration with the EVP of Healthcare Partnerships.
  • Educate and support referral sources, including case managers and individuals submitting referrals.
  • Manage and track referrals, including source, volume, and outcomes, in the CRM.
  • Provide monthly reports on referrals, utilization, and key metrics to health plan contacts.
  • Document all client/referral source activities, outreach, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the Care Center to manage referrals, reauthorizations, and member concerns.
  • Proactively identify issues with referrals, deliveries, or authorizations and escalate internally for resolution.
  • Demonstrate a results-oriented, self-driven mindset focused on strategic execution.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% within the assigned state.
Skills, Degree and Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BA) in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in healthcare sales, case management, or related areas such as:
    1. Managed care
    2. Long-term care
    3. Home health or home care
    4. Hospital or medical equipment sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for developing long-term client relationships.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems.
  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrates commitment to personal growth, continuous learning, and the company mission.
  • Resilient and proactive—embraces challenges and sees “no” as an opportunity.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking are daily activities. Some bending and filing may be required (less than 10% of time). This would require the ability to lift files (less than 10 lbs.), open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 50%+ time: See; Sit; Use hands to finger/handle/feel; Talk or Hear.
