Job summary

Walmart Canada in Surrey, BC is seeking a facilities operations leader to drive the execution of multiple maintenance programs. You will direct HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and critical power activities, develop and communicate business plans, allocate resources, and set performance standards.

You will manage complex regional projects, plan staffing, supervise progress, and ensure safety and compliance with laws.

Responsibilities

• Directs heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and critical power maintenance and service operations by evaluating facility needs and equipment to increase efficiency and establishing SOPs and inspections.
• Manages complex projects by determining work priority, planning assignments, maintaining staffing, supervising work in progress, creating punch lists and approving material requisitions and timecards.
• Directs regional field operations by developing goals and direction, approving activities, controlling costs, tracking preventive maintenance and reviewing progress on initiatives.
• Ensures compliance with federal and local HVACR laws, regulations and guidelines by reviewing changes and conducting inspections.
• Ensures financial sustainability by developing and approving budgets for capital expenses and staff, evaluating ROI, and approving contracts and invoices.
• Reviews budget plans, verifies cost estimates, approves purchases, analyzes invoices, and manages warranty reimbursements and landlord compliance.
• Maintains project oversight by ensuring timelines, coordinating changes, monitoring costs, and updating schedules.
• Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting, mentoring, and building a team and conducting performance evaluations
