Job summary

Richardson International is seeking a Regional EH& S Specialist to support environmental, health and safety programs for our Winnipeg region. The role provides guidance to facility leadership and drives compliance with regulatory and corporate standards to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

The position develops, implements and improves EH&S systems and processes, conducts training, and leads incident investigations across multiple locations within Canada.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in an occupational, environmental, health or safety discipline
• Strong working knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations; ability to interpret legislation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• CRSP, CRST or CSP designation, or the ability to obtain it is an asset

Responsibilities

• Advise and support facility leadership on EH&S requirements and best practices
• Lead EH&S compliance efforts by interpreting regulations and partnering with regulatory agencies
• Evaluate and improve EH&S programs, policies, and site standards
• Identify training needs and deliver EH&S training across multiple locations
• Conduct incident investigations, audits and inspections and drive corrective actions
• Support emergency preparedness and business continuity initiatives

We currently have the opportunity for a Regional EH&S Specialist to join our team in our Winnipeg office. The Regional EH&S Specialist provides environmental, health and safety advice and support to facility leadership across the assigned region, helping ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate standards. This role develops, implements and continuously improves EH&S programs, systems and processes that promote a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace

Responsibilities

• Advise and support facility leadership teams on environmental, health and safety requirements, priorities and best practices
• Lead EH&S compliance efforts by interpreting regulations, monitoring legislative changes and partnering with regulatory and industry agencies
• Evaluate, develop and continuously improve EH&S programs, policies, procedures and site-specific standards
• Identify training needs, develop and deliver EH&S training programs to employees and leaders across multiple locations
• Conduct incident investigations, audits and inspections; identify risks and drive effective corrective and preventive actions
• Support emergency preparedness, response planning and business continuity initiatives to protect people, operations and the environment

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety is strongly recommended
• 1-2 years’ experience in an occupational, environmental, health or safety discipline
• Strong working knowledge of applicable workplace, health and safety regulations with the ability to review and interpret legislations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
• CRSP, CRST or CSP designation, or the ability to obtain it is considered an asset
• Ability to travel within Canada
