The Work

The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) will be responsible for managing and growing high-value accounts within Equitable Bank’s portfolio, focusing on sales, relationship enhancement, and market share growth within specified networks. The SAM will collaborate closely with key brokerages to ensure the success and long-term growth of these partnerships. This role requires strategic assessment of individual brokerage needs and coordination with sales and operations to implement positive changes that increase market share.

The core responsibilities include:

  1. Account Management
  2. Manage and build strong, long-lasting relationships with key strategic accounts, including super brokers and high-volume clients.
  3. Develop and execute strategic account plans tailored to each account’s needs to drive growth and meet sales targets.
  4. Monitor account performance, including sales volumes and market share, to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  5. Proactively identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to increase market share.
  6. Maintain ongoing communication with account stakeholders to address issues, gather feedback, and identify new sales opportunities.
  7. Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Credit) to deliver solutions that meet account-specific needs and ensure a smooth customer experience.

Market Growth & Business Development

  1. Work with senior leadership to identify and pursue growth opportunities in the market.
  2. Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and areas for growth within assigned accounts.
  3. Assist in expanding the bank’s footprint in new regions or verticals by leveraging strategic relationships.
  4. Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the bank’s growth objectives, focusing on profitability.

Relationship Building & Networking

  1. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at high-value brokerages and partners.
  2. Represent Equitable Bank at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  3. Conduct regular meetings with accounts to foster engagement and develop solutions.
  4. Maintain ongoing communication with strategic partners to keep our products and services top-of-mind.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting

  1. Provide regular performance reports to leadership.
  2. Work with sales and marketing teams to align efforts.
  3. Monitor sales pipelines and forecast future opportunities.
  4. Maintain accurate records within the CRM system.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5-8 years of experience in account management, business development, or sales in residential or financial services.
  • Proven success in managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to develop strategic plans.
  • Experience building relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field preferred.
