Job Overview

Fairmont Royal York, a Toronto landmark with a storied history of luxury and excellence for over 95 years, is seeking a forward-thinking, relationship-driven Regional Director of Sales & Marketing (RDOSM). This role involves leading the commercial strategy at Fairmont Royal York and supporting Directors of Sales & Marketing across Central Canada.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all commercial strategies and oversee revenue streams including rooms, catering, F&B, spa, retail, etc.
  • Support and advise regional Directors of Sales & Marketing, aligning on goals and strategies.
  • Build partnerships with ownership, hotel leadership, and Global Sales to exceed targets.
  • Develop long-term commercial plans using market segmentation and forecasting.
  • Utilize Fairmont/Accor tools and loyalty programs to drive growth and enhance guest experiences.
  • Mentor and develop talent, fostering an inclusive leadership pipeline.
  • Represent the region at industry events and sales missions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure consistent and data-driven storytelling.
  • Leverage market and guest insights for personalization and loyalty initiatives.
  • Monitor competitive activity and align commercial spend with performance goals.
Qualifications
  • 6–8 years of hotel or global sales leadership experience, including 4+ years at the Director level.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results across segments.
  • Ability to translate insights into strategic actions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust across teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience with digital sales tools, market analytics, and CRM platforms (Opera or similar).
  • Commitment to inclusive leadership and fostering belonging.
