A leading healthcare organization is seeking a Practice Manager to oversee operations, ensure compliance, and enhance patient care. The role involves budget management, staff hiring, and implementing policies. Ideal candidates will have significant experience in practice management and strong organizational skills.
Assist in the development of capital and operating budgets. Responsible for managing these budgets effectively.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, licensing, and regulatory requirements from agencies such as DNV, CLIA, OSHA, Radiation Protection, and others as mandated by Federal or State statutes.
Create and maintain processes to protect patient privacy and information.
Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures for the clinics.
Hire and orient staff with support from the FH Human Resources department, adhering to relevant guidelines and policies.
Resolve patient complaints and concerns appropriately.
Develop optimal scheduling processes to maximize patient throughput.
Collaborate with Practice Management, Billing, and Compliance staff to implement, monitor, and improve reimbursement procedures, including CPT and ICD-10 coding, in compliance with third-party billing regulations.
Ensure comprehensive onboarding and orientation for new providers and managers.
Assist with physician development activities.
Work closely with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations to develop and implement new practices and practice sites.
Identify suitable practice models and establish necessary support, including staffing, equipment, supplies, and outside contracts, to create and maintain the practice infrastructure.
Assess and implement appropriate billing systems and electronic medical record workflows for new sites.
Coordinate marketing efforts with the FirstHealth Strategic Marketing Department.
Apply LEAN principles to improve workflow efficiency impacting staff and provider throughput.
Coordinate malpractice insurance and provider employment contracts.
Assess and address compliance and regulatory issues relevant to the practice.
Regularly revisit practice sites to evaluate functions and services, intervening and correcting as needed.
Review billing and collection outcomes at one-, three-, and six-month intervals, adjusting policies and protocols accordingly.
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare.
Certification in compliance, coding, or related areas preferred.
Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in practice management and/or project management.
Supervisory experience required.
Experience in operational benchmarking, budgeting, compensation, and project development.
Extensive experience with EMR systems, preferably EPIC.
Experience in ambulatory (physician clinic) operations.
Ability to manage resources and develop strategies to grow practice volume.
Knowledge of compliance standards and survey readiness for agencies like DNV.
Understanding of interconnected clinical systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
Detail-oriented with training and presentation experience.
Proficient in troubleshooting, managing multiple projects, and providing excellent customer service.
Highly skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, reimbursement, third-party payers, pre-certification, ICD-10, and CPT codes.
