Regional Corporate Counsel - Insurance/Disaster Property Restoration (Remote - Ontario)

Overview

At First Onsite, we lead the restoration industry with our people. As the Regional Corporate Counsel, you will play a pivotal leadership role, advising on corporate, commercial, regulatory, risk, employment, and litigation matters. You will influence key business decisions, lead transformative initiatives, and be a trusted advisor to our leadership team in Canada.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
  2. Draft and review contracts, including master service agreements and vendor agreements.
  3. Manage legal risks and liabilities, including employment and litigation issues.
  4. Support cross-border legal strategies and compliance.
  5. Lead legal diligence for acquisitions and oversee litigation resolution.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate and Law degree; licensed to practice law in Ontario.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, preferably in high-volume environments or top-tier law firms.
  • Experience drafting commercial contracts and managing legal risks.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Culturally sensitive with the ability to build business relationships across borders.
