Job Description

About the Role:

Lead continuous improvement initiatives across assigned sites or groups using Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S methodologies.

Drive operational excellence by enhancing safety, process efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency, eliminate waste, and enhance quality.
  • Facilitate Kaizen and other CI initiatives, guiding cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and optimize processes.
  • Train and coach operational teams in CI methodologies, promoting effective use of Lean tools.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Transformation teams to track cost reductions and performance improvements.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs for CI projects, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Share best practices across the organization to drive operational excellence and continuous learning.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with CI initiatives and standards.

Major/Key Accountabilities:

  • Drive innovative ideas and process improvements for CHEP operations.
  • Promote operational excellence and challenge the status quo.
  • Serve as a change agent, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify improvement opportunities, develop plans, and lead initiatives with process owners.
  • Develop analyses and models for projects, working collaboratively to develop low-cost/high-value solutions.
  • Provide robust data analysis focused on cost reductions and process improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement training programs and provide coaching on Lean methodologies.
  • Analyze data using Lean Six Sigma statistical methods.
  • Conduct problem-solving workshops and Kaizen events.
  • Develop and analyze KPIs to monitor the impact of improvements.
  • Implement procedures, tools, and online applications to support CI efforts.
  • Assist plants with operational issues related to SAP, Procurement, and Coupa.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education
  • 3–5 years relevant experience
  • Lean Six Sigma certification
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to travel to sites

Experience:

  • Experience in process-driven environments with strict deadlines
  • Inventory planning/control and logistics experience
  • Data analytics, operations, project management
  • Safety experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Self-motivated and works well under pressure
  • High accuracy with a high volume of output

English (essential); French (desirable)
