Job summary

The Regional Asset Management Technician (RAMT) in Thompson, MB, reports to the Regional Maintenance Manager and supports budgeting, data integrity, and program delivery for highway assets. Using the Asset/Maintenance Management System and Pavement Prediction Technology (PPT), RAMT plans and tracks regional maintenance and capital programs in line with department standards, policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Extensive highway maintenance or road construction experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of maintenance equipment and materials.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial management.
  • Ability to train, coach and mentor others.
  • Knowledge of department policies, specifications and guidelines.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong written communication for technical reports.
  • Strong verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and administer regional maintenance budgets and programs.
  • Verify data integrity in asset/maintenance systems.
  • Plan and track program delivery in line with department standards.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support maintenance operations.
