Overview :

Reporting to the Regional Manager Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program with matrix reporting to the Chief Executive Officer CMHA Kenora and working in consultation with related clinical and administrative leadership the OSP Regional Engagement Lead will take a lead role in developing comprehensive and meaningful engagement initiatives with Ontario Structured Psychotherapy (OSP) clients people with lived experience family members and community stakeholders across the OSP Northwest region to inform quality service planning and quality improvement. This will include building upon existing relationships with community organizations and OSP partners and developing a work plan to achieve the OSP program vision of ensuring

priority populations receive fair and equitable access to services. The preferred candidate will have experience in service delivery rooted in client-centered care and anti-racist practice.

Service Delivery :

Translates the provincial OSP vision and expectations into achievable outcomes for the Northwest Region

Provides a leadership role in developing and building meaningful relationships with local and regional partners

Develops and coordinates regional program promotion plans in alignment with provincial program goals and initiatives and in consultation with Regional Clinical Leads

Develops and leads OSP presentations for knowledge sharing and increasing awareness about OSP within mental health and addictions sector hospitals community agencies primary care clinics and for other stakeholders as requested.

Conducts ongoing population / needs assessments to identify existing or new barriers to service delivery for identified priority populations

Provides feedback suggestions and advice to the Network Lead Organization team as required to develop quality improvement initiatives and potential engagement opportunities

Works collaboratively with OSP Access Point Facilitators to identify intake and stepped care barriers including problem solving and improving equitable access

Works alongside and collaboratively with the Implementation and Data Quality Lead to implement the Ontario Perception of Care for Mental Health and Addictions (OPOC-MHA)

Participates in provincial OSP clinical leadership meetings committees and working groups (i.e. meeting with other Network Lead Organization clinical leads across the province) as requested

Develops a communication pathway to keep Service Delivery Sites and key stakeholders informed of key deliverables

Works alongside and collaboratively with the Regional Clinical and Training Lead and Implementation and Data Quality Lead to ensure all quality improvement initiatives are in alignment with the OSP Provincial clinical and training expectations and including Ontario Health data submission requirements

Prioritizes working with priority populations who will bring an analytical lens to the barriers that impede equitable access to OSP services

Develops and leads working groups as requested to identify analyze and problem solve barriers to service and address equity issues

Works with the Ontario Health Regional and Provincial Indigenous Leads to identify barriers to services and to participate in the development and implementation of an Indigenous OSP service stream within the Northwest Region.

Actively participates in the OSP Clinical and / or Implementation Community of Practice (CoP) as requested

Assurance of confidentiality of all client personnel and organizational records and information

Support an environment which avoids prevents and corrects all activities or actions which may result in an adverse outcome in the delivery of mental health services

Utilizes effective and appropriate mechanisms for the transfer of information at interface points.

Utilizes verification processes and other checking systems for high-risk care / service activities.

Monitor program policies and procedures to assure their applicability to evidence based best practice and CMHA philosophy

Responsible for self-care including awareness of and addressing the effects of vicarious traumatization

Other duties as required

Professional Development :

Attends and actively participates in workshops in-services and training sessions and shares new information with peers and colleagues

Integrates new concepts / knowledge / skills and shares this knowledge with the OSP Northwest region network team

Completes regular self-assessment of work effectiveness competencies and educational / developmental needs to ensure competency and effectiveness

Accepts responsibility for work-related professional development and actively seeks out and responds to opportunities for self-development

Adherence to all policies of Canadian Mental Health Association Kenora Branch

Participate in clinical team meetings and staff meetings as scheduled

Responsible for following organizational policies and procedures.

Participates in monthly safety inspections emergency drills and training programs as required.

Identifies and informs Team Leads and Chief Executive Officer of client safety problems and concerns including actual and potential adverse events and incidents.

Organizational Relationships :

Maintains collaborative working relationships with all internal and external contacts ensuring behaviors are at all times congruent with SJCG & CMHA Principles of Conduct

Reports to the Regional Manager OSP with a Matrix report to the Chief Executive Officer CMHA and works collaboratively with members of interprofessional team(s) within both organizations.

Qualification

Education / Experience :

Post-secondary qualifications in a related field

A minimum of a undergraduate or graduate degree (Masters Degree is preferred) in a related field with demonstrated knowledge of the health care continuum

Skills / Abilities :

Demonstrated ability to independently identify systemic issues plan improvements measure success and continue quality improvement

Demonstrated superior communication and influencing skills (oral and written) to effectively communicate with priority populations OSP regional and provincial teams Service Delivery Sites partners community agencies stakeholders and leadership teams

Excellent skills related to development design and tailored approaches to presentations and ability to connect with the target audience

Skills related to health promotion and marketing to socialize an evidence based model of care

Demonstrated excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (e.g. Word Excel Visio Power Point and Outlook)

Demonstrated excellent problem solving organizational time management and project management skills

Demonstrated ability to manage routine correspondence multiple tasks / projects diversified workload and rapidly changing priorities and challenging deadlines

Passionate about contributing to positive social change and commitment to anti-oppression and anti-racism

Ability to develop trusting professional relationships with the OSP Network Lead Organization team Service Delivery Site therapists leadership / management teams and regional and provincial partners and other stakeholders.

Comprehensive knowledge of regional health services is an asset

Experience working with Indigenous people and other diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds is required

Experience working with LGBTQ2S individuals

Knowledge of mental health / mental illness and mental health difficulties

Highly developed screening and assessment skills
