Position Summary

The Regional Manager (RM) will play an integral role in developing, setting and executing the strategic direction for both the Region and the Plumbing Division as a whole. The region currently consists of 14 locations (Profit Centres). Included in the strategic vision and execution are the following :

  • Develop, Communicate and Deliver on Long-Term Regional Vision and Plans - create a roadmap with objectives for 3, 5, and 10 years, including strategic alignment with select vendors and customer segments.
  • Select and Develop a Team of World-Class Talent and Leadership - recruit, develop, retain, and grow Profit Centre Managers who partner across the organization, including management development programs and succession planning.
  • Drive Growth and Business Expansion - use organic growth, green-field expansion and acquisitions to increase scale, financial results, and market relevance; lead acquisitions across the Region.
  • Core Values and Key Business Principles - promote Fairness and Caring, Trust and Respect, Generous Listening, and Straight Talk.
  • Establish and Promote a Culture of High Expectations - set clear performance expectations and lead with integrity.
  • Champion the Business Model - focus on Leadership, People, Customers and Vendors to achieve strong results and robust operations.
  • Manage Key Business and Financial Performance - drive world-class performance while maintaining strong controls and maximizing operating performance, ROI, and market share.
  • Foster Cooperation and Sharing - inspire collaboration while respecting Profit Centre independence.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationships - strengthen relationships and coordinate sales for major national customers and large contracts.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Develop and implement regional strategies that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Build and lead a high-performing regional team and manage succession planning.
  • Drive growth, expansion and acquisitions within the region.
  • Maintain a culture of high performance, integrity, and customer focus.
  • Foster collaboration across Profit Centres while allowing regional autonomy.
  • Strengthen relationships with customers and suppliers and coordinate national account efforts.
Qualifications
  • Accomplished leader with excellent communication skills and a reputation for ethics and integrity.
  • Extensive wholesale distribution experience or equivalent, including P&L responsibility and growth initiatives.
  • Driven, energetic, organized, entrepreneurial, disciplined, servant leader, resilient, and able to advocate for the region’s best interests.
  • Strategic thinker with strong general management, sales management, business development, financial acumen, and operational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
