Job summary

AlgaeCal Acres near Cranbrook, BC, invites a skilled chef to craft nourishing meals for a Canadian entrepreneurial team in a log-building kitchen on a 481-acre regenerative farm. You'll cook 5 days a week, for groups of 10-25 leaders, with access to ranch-grown ingredients.

Experience in Asian cuisine, BBQ, and wild game is beneficial; butchering and processing game or fish are a big plus. You’ll work in a setting that blends farm life with gourmet dining, preserving, pickling and deli skills

Qualifications

• Must be able to cook several different countries/regions' favorite dishes.
• Believer in whole, organic, regeneratively farmed foods; everything made from scratch.
• Asian cooking experience, BBQ skills, wild game cooking experience is helpful.
• Butchering and processing game and fish is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Cook lunches/dinners 5 days per week for groups of 10–25 AlgaeCal leaders.
• Prepare extra meals on Fridays for the weekend.
• Preserve, pickle, can, and potentially make deli meats, sausages and cheeses.
