Job summary

AlgaeCal Inc. seeks a versatile chef to craft culinary masterpieces on a regenerative farm in British Columbia. You’ll work in a full commercial kitchen attached to living quarters, serving living leaders and visiting groups with meals that showcase organic, farm-grown ingredients.

The role emphasizes from-scratch cooking across varied cuisines, with experience in Asian dishes and BBQ valued. A vehicle is provided, and medical benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Must be able to cook several different countries/regions’ favorite dishes.
• Believer in whole, organic, regeneratively farmed foods. Everything will be made from scratch.
• Asian cooking experience, BBQ skills, wild game cooking experience is helpful.
• Butchering and processing game and fish is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of cooking styles for Viv/Dean and visiting groups (10–25 people).
• Cook and clean up for lunches/dinners 5 days per week.
• On Fridays, prepare extra meals for the weekend.
• Prepare meals using mostly ranch-grown ingredients (90% of food grown on the ranch).
• Preserve, pickle, and can foods; deli meats/sausages/cheeses are a plus.
