Job summary

The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in Northwestern Ontario is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist (Cytology) to join our team. The role focuses on specimen preparation and microscopic examination of cytology specimens, under PFCC philosophy.

Applicants must be registered with the Ontario College of Medical Laboratory Technologists and able to perform the duties of an MLT in Cytology. Strong organizational and communication skills, plus computer literacy, are essential for

• Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO) or eligible to do so.
• All duties required of an MLT Registered Technologist (RT) working in the Cytology department.
• Specimen preparation for microscopic examination.
• Microscopic examination of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
• Experience will be considered an asset.
• Good organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Superior computer skills are considered an asset.

Salary Range: $36.840 to 50.240
