Job Description Summary

Location: Montreal, #LI-Hybrid

We are seeking a Facility Manager to oversee site operations, vendor management, and workplace services, with a focus on compliance and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include managing maintenance and service contracts, and promoting sustainability and efficiency. Candidates should possess technical expertise in facility management, leadership skills, and experience in regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure a comfortable and productive workplace for employees.
  2. Gather and act on customer feedback to enhance workplace satisfaction.
  3. Oversee preventive maintenance to keep buildings and facilities functional, safe, and compliant.
  4. Monitor health, safety, and energy consumption to improve efficiency and sustainability.
  5. Manage service providers for cleaning, security, landscaping, food services, etc., evaluating their performance via SLAs and KPIs.
  6. Supervise non-technical services such as reception, mail delivery, cleaning, pantry management, office supplies, and transportation.
  7. Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  8. Coordinate with landlords on building maintenance and sustainability initiatives.
  9. Track and report KPIs related to financial results, customer satisfaction, and energy efficiency.
  10. Provide insights into space utilization, service quality, and cost efficiencies.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Technical expertise in facility management, preferably in pharmaceuticals or related sectors, with knowledge of operations, finance, and management.
  2. Leadership skills to effectively lead projects and vendor teams.
  3. Vendor management skills, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring.
  4. Problem-solving abilities to proactively address challenges and ensure business continuity.
  5. Strong communication skills for stakeholder and employee interactions.

Desirable Requirements:

  1. Experience working with multicultural teams.
  2. Hospitality training or educational background is advantageous.
