Qualifications

Refrigeration Technician

We are seeking highly skilled Refrigeration Technicians to support our operations in West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong background in Refrigeration/HVAC systems for Oil & Gas and/or industrial field facilities, especially those with extensive field experience in demanding environments. Canadian tradespeople with Red Seal or provincial journeyman credentials are strongly encouraged to apply.

What you will be Doing:

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in oilfield and industrial facilities, including compressor stations, well sites, electrical buildings (MCCs), and control rooms.
  • Troubleshoot complex HVAC issues and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Perform start-ups, commissioning, and routine maintenance on packaged and custom HVAC systems
  • Interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Collaborate with automation, electrical, and mechanical teams to support broader facility operations.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians and apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and job reports.
  • Operate independently or in teams across remote field locations.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction and safe work execution.

Your Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration/HVAC service, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Journeyman-level certification (Canadian Red Seal or equivalent required).
  • In-depth knowledge of packaged HVAC systems, split systems, RTUs, VFD-driven fans, control panels, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Experience working in remote or harsh environments under limited supervision.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Safety training (H2S, Fall Protection, Confined Space) is an asset.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a fly in/fly out position to the Permian Basin.
  • Work schedule will be 14 days on/14 days off.
