What will be your role?

Reporting to the ISS Manager, the Refrigeration Mechanic will act as a technically trained and experienced individual with an exceptional hands-on skill set to work with the existing highly qualified team in areas of installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems. The incumbent will also ensure air quality systems are in good working condition while meeting the system design intent and customer’s expectations.

Main responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and repair heating, ventilation & air conditioning (HVAC) systems accurately and efficiently.
2. Complete routine generated work order requests for repairs & services.
3. Perform regular preventative maintenance.
4. Install, maintain and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems and equipment.
5. Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
6. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
7. Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
8. Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
9. Ensure compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
10. Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirements.
11. Assist with customers’ queries.
12. Complete service log and field reports with sufficient details and promptness.
13. Maintain effective communications with customers and ISS team.

What sets you apart?

• + 5 years in shipbuilding industry or residential industry.
• Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic.
• Ability to read and interpret HVAC equipment and system diagrams.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and refrigeration principles.
• Experience with air conditioning applications and industrial chillers.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office Suite; Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and end users.
