Job summary

Calgary Stampede in Calgary, AB is seeking a Refrigeration Mechanic to operate, maintain and repair refrigeration, HVAC, boilers and related systems across Calgary Stampede facilities, supporting safe, reliable operations, regulatory compliance and event readiness.

You will monitor building automation, diagnose problems, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure event-ready environments year-round.

Qualifications

• Alberta Journeyperson Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Certificate or Red Seal is required.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills with good documentation and time management.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust refrigeration, HVAC, boiler, and related systems.
• Monitor building automation, respond to alarms, and schedule run times for events.
• Inspect mechanical rooms and maintain logs, equipment data and readings.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; diagnose controls issues.
