Summary

Ainsworth, a subsidiary of GDI in Edmonton, is seeking a Journeyman HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our growing team. We are a Canada-wide company leading in the building systems industry, providing services including Electrical, Building Automation, Card Access/Security, and Mechanical Services.

Responsibilities

• Represent Ainsworth professionally and courteously on each call, acting as a proud ambassador for our company.
• Read, interpret, create, and maintain drawings and specifications.
• Install, overhaul, and service air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating and air conditioning units.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of apprentices.
• Maintain knowledge of modern equipment and regulations.
• Enforce safety regulations and company policies.
• Perform all duties safely, in compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Support administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED from a certified college.
• Current driver’s license.
• Valid Certificate of Qualification.
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and practices of the trade.
• Knowledge of HVAC/R codes, standards, and safety precautions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
