Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Journeyperson.
• Comfortable working with various metals including steel and aluminum.

Job description

Saint-Gobain has an exciting career opportunity for a Red Seal Sheet Metal Journeyperson at our BP Canada Edmonton Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal products.

Core hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.

Rate:

• $38.99/hr for the first 640 hours
• $39.74/hr after 640 hours until 1 year of service
• $41.50/hr after 1 year
• Additional Red Seal tickets earn an extra $1/hour
• Annual increases per the Collective Bargaining Agreement

Responsibilities include:

• Pipe insulation and cladding
• Fabrication of vents, ducting, and guards
• Operating a break press and other power tools
• Using sheet metal shop equipment for custom products
• Maintenance, installation, and repairs of building components
• Measuring materials for ordering and fabrication
• Collaborating with vendors and sourcing suppliers
• Adhering to safety standards and regulations
• Liaising with other trades
• Performing additional duties as required

• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Comfortable working at heights
• Basic computer skills
• Independent, self-starter, reliable
• Experience operating man lifts or scissor lifts
