Job summary

Traveland RV Supercentres in Airdrie, AB is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose and repair recreational vehicle systems, with a focus on RVs. You don’t need extensive RV experience; being handy, reliable and professional is key, and we’ll train you on the specifics.

You’ll collaborate with the foreman, provide labor estimates, keep service advisors updated, and stay current with factory bulletins and safety regulations. Red Seal certification and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Red Seal Certification is preferred for this role.
• Driver's License is required to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and examine RV problems.
• Discuss repairs with the shop foreman or service advisor.
• Communicate additional service requests to the RV service advisor.
• Plan work procedures with the shop foreman.
• Provide labor time estimates to the service advisor.
• Monitor repair time and update the RV service advisor regularly.
• Maintain adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation.
• Complete documentation for client repairs.
• Assist in mentoring RV technician trainees.
• Attend company and factory training and keep up to date with technical bulletins.
• Follow federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal.

RV techs know a little bit about everything-everything, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, etc. If you can do any one of these, we’ll teach you the rest! To get started as a new RV tech in our dealership, you don’t need specific RV experience. But you do need to be handy, dedicated, responsible and professional. We run an honest shop and need honest, hard-working techs who see the value in a good day’s work for good a day’s pay.

Job Responsibilities

• Examine and diagnose RV problems

• Provide labor time estimates to RV service advisor
• Monitor repair time and update RV service advisor regularly
• Maintain strict adherence to dealership policies on RV care and operation
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• Assist in mentoring RV technician trainees
• Attend company and factory training
• Keep current with factory technical bulletins
• Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)

Education and/or Experience
