Job summary
Aerotek is seeking a Red Seal Plumber for Ottawa, ON to install, service, and troubleshoot commercial plumbing systems on new construction, renovations, and institutional facilities. This field-based role demands strong blueprint reading, safety compliance, and the ability to mentor apprentices while coordinating with site teams.
The ideal candidate has a Red Seal certification, 5+ years in commercial construction, and a valid G license; reliability clearance is a plus.
Qualifications
- Red Seal Journeyman Plumber.
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
- Experience with water distribution, drainage, and DWV systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities on site.
- Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Ability to obtain Reliability Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems.
- Work on new construction and renovation projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Complete layouts, rough-ins, and final installations.
- Troubleshoot issues and solve problems independently.
- Coordinate with other trades and site supervisors.
- Mentor apprentices and support their development.
- Ensure all work meets safety and code requirements.
