About the role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, Plumbers are responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of facilities and systems at our Elkview Operation. This is a full-time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 day shift schedule. The site is based in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, BC is necessary.

In this role you will

• Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
• Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for a variety of facilities throughout the entire site
• Proactive diagnosis of facility deficiencies and supporting the coordination of those facility maintenance requirements through the maintenance supervisor
• Maintain the Sewage Treatment Plant and Potable Water System

Requirements

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Plumber Certification
• Class B gas fitting certification
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
• General knowledge of other skillsets consisting of electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and welding is considered an asset
• Small Waste Water Treatment and Small Water Systems Certifications would be considered an asset

Hourly Wage: $52.64. Base earnings reflected in salary range include the hourly wage plus applicable shift premiums and will differ depending on location. It is calculated using a reasonably expected number of hours worked per year.
