Job summary

Infracon Construction Inc. seeks a certified Red Seal Millwright for the Highland Valley Copper Mine Site near Logan Lake, BC. The role covers installation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of mechanical systems in a demanding mining environment.

You will work a 4 days on / 4 days off schedule, 10-hour shifts, and report to the Project Superintendent. Safety and teamwork are emphasized on a multi-year project through 2027.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyperson Millwright certification is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial/mining/heavy equipment environments.
• Experience in warehousing/material handling is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial mechanical equipment and systems.
• Perform precision alignments and component replacements.
• Read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and manuals.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery.

Job Title: Red Seal Millwright

Location: Highland Valley Copper Mine Site (HVC), near Logan Lake, BC
Job Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Red Seal Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) to support the Site Wide Services project at Highland Valley Copper - Mine Life Extension (MLE). This multi-year project will run through 2027 and plays a critical role in supporting mining operations and infrastructure.

In this position, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, alignment, and repair of mechanical systems and industrial equipment. The role requires a hands‑on, detail‑oriented individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic industrial mining environment.

The ideal candidate is a certified Red Seal Millwright with strong troubleshooting abilities, experience in warehousing environments, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Who You Are

You are a certified Red Seal Millwright with strong experience in industrial or mining environments. You bring a high level of mechanical aptitude and are confident diagnosing and repairing complex equipment issues while maintaining a focus on safety and efficiency.

You have hands‑on experience working with rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems, and you are comfortable performing precision alignments, equipment installations, and preventive maintenance. Your ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications allows you to execute work accurately and efficiently.

You are reliable, detail‑oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. You communicate effectively with supervisors, electricians, and other trades, and you take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving mechanical issues.

You are comfortable working in physically demanding environments and varying weather conditions typical of mining operations. You take pride in your work, demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, and contribute to a safe, productive, and team‑oriented workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery

• Coordinate with electricians, operators, and other trades to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and materials used
• Adhere to all site safety policies and actively participate in daily safety meetings

Experience Required

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments
• Experience working with rotating equipment, conveyors, pumps, and hydraulic systems
• Experience performing equipment installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Previous experience in mining or large‑scale industrial projects is considered an asset

• Ability to use required PPE and follow safe work practices at all times
• Drug and alcohol testing may be required in accordance with company or project requirements
