Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a heavy civil construction environment, performing maintenance on Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, and John Deere equipment.
• Required safety certifications: Fall Protection, Power Lines Hazards, Air Brake Endorsement, WHMIS 2015, Utility Safety Training, First Aid, Lock-Out/Tag-Out.
• Familiarity with Safety Instrumented Systems, My Komatsu, and Cummins applications.
• Strong organizational and task execution skills; ability to work proactively and effectively.
• Teamwork orientation.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards in construction.
• Ability to work on a rotational FIFO basis (14-14) at remote sites.
• Ability to work day and night shifts.
• Valid driver’s license; Air Brake endorsement required.
• Site location: Sudbury, Ontario.

Duties:

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy civil construction equipment.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
• Coordinate with other construction equipment and personnel.
• Maintain safety standards and awareness of hazards.
• Operate equipment safely, following industry standards.
• Participate in daily safety meetings.
• Communicate effectively using verbal and non-verbal cues.
• Perform other related duties as required.
