Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is hiring an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural vehicle repairs. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicles, working with panels, interiors, and electrical components to meet KPI targets.

The role requires MIG/TIG welding skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift and handle parts with your own toolbox. You’ll join a team with extensive training, competitive pay, and a strong benefits program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of post-secondary Auto Body Repair program.
• Red Seal or 310B is preferred.
• I-Car Gold Class certification in progress is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and non-structural repairs on vehicles.
• Disassemble, repair and reassemble vehicles to KPI standards.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts and electrical components.
• Operate frame equipment and ensure high-quality results.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures; contribute to team KPIs.

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities’ KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements _ Travel, physical requirements, etc. _

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Compensation:

$30 - $35 per hour, flat rate + production bonus

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
