Job summary

Boyd Autobody is seeking an Auto Body Technician to perform structural and non-structural repairs, disassembly, and reassembly of vehicles in a fast-paced shop. The role contributes to KPI achievement and high-quality outcomes within a collaborative team.

You will need a High School Diploma or equivalent and post-secondary Auto Body training, plus at least 3 years of experience and MIG/TIG welding skills. A valid driver’s license and your own toolbox are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG).
• Red Seal or 310B is preferred.
• Own toolbox and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Repair damage to vehicle body panels and structures.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as part of repairs.
• Meet KPIs for quality, productivity and safety.
• Apply new knowledge to improve performance and outcomes.

Job Description:

The Auto Body Technician is responsible for structural and non-structural repairs, and will disassemble, repair, and reassemble each vehicle. The Auto Body Technician works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITDA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation Details

Hourly:

$30 - $32 per hour, Flat Rate

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
