Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dependable Recycling Facility Labourer to support our operations team in loading, sorting, and securing bulk recyclables into open-top trailers.

You will assist equipment operators and truck drivers while maintaining clean loading bays and ensuring compliance with transport standards. The role requires physical labor, good communication in a noisy environment, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, warehouse, or waste management is a plus, but on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Trailer loading assistance: guide truck drivers and equipment operators during bulk loading.
• Quality control & sorting: monitor recyclables and remove contaminants.
• Ground operations & site maintenance: sweep, clear debris, and maintain loading ramps and bays.
• Safety & traffic control: communicate with heavy equipment operators to coordinate movement in staging areas.
