HOURS OF WORK : 37.5 hours perweek / 1950 annual

SALARY : Non-Union Band 4 -$69,798 to $83,343

Whatwill you do?

  • Develops, implements and maintains recruitment and selection programsprimarily for unionized positions;
  • Provides support and advises hiring managers in the recruitment andselection process to ensure policies, procedures and collective agreements arefollowed;
  • Develops and maintains job posting documents and recruiting tools (i.e.screening, interview, assessment, reference check etc.);
  • Tracks the status of job postings and follows up with hiring manager asneeded;
  • Reviews and screens candidate resumes, schedules interviews, conductsinterviews, checks references andmaintains communication with candidates throughout the recruitment andselection process;
  • Determines and may schedule and administer appropriate employmenttesting;
  • Makes salary recommendations and completes necessary documentation asrequired;
  • Communicates with candidates at the end of the recruitment processincluding making offers of employment and notifying unsuccessfulcandidates;
  • Maintains complete and accurate recruitment and interview records;
  • Prepares reports and metrics related to recruitment and selection asrequired (i.e. vacancy reports, talent acquisition data etc.);
  • May attend career fairs and other employment promotional events;
  • Previous experience with the recruitment and selection function in aunionized environment;
  • Knowledge of current principles and best practices in recruitment andselection;
  • Knowledge of relevant HR legislation including the Employment StandardsAct, Human Rights Code and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act;
  • Positive professional disposition, confidence, and excellentinterpersonal and communication skills in order to build rapport with othersand put candidates at ease throughout the recruitment process;
  • Ability to positively influence others to use effective human resourcespractices;
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and the ability to workindependently in order to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities;
  • Proven attention to detail, and ability to compose businesscorrespondence and reports that are concise, accurate and grammatically sound;
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a discreetand professional manner when discussing issues with other Ontario Health atHomestaff or external parties;
  • Advanced keyboarding and data entry skills and proven proficiency with avariety of software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel,Outlook, Teams).
  • Must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle;
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment managing relationships andprocesses both in-person and virtually. What would give you the edge?
  • Knowledge of Patient Service functions and roles;
  • Experience in health care or public sector;
  • Fluent in French or another language.
