Job Description:
NVIT anticipates a requirement for a Recruitment and Events Officer (REO) at the Burnaby campus and invites applications from qualified candidates. This will be a full-time, ongoing support staff position commencing as soon as a suitable candidate is available.
Job Summary:
The Recruitment & Events Officer (REO) is a key member of the Enrolment Services Team, focusing on leading recruitment activities and supporting the Events Planner. This position is primarily responsible for driving student recruitment efforts, including representing NVIT at career fairs and other promotional events throughout the province. The REO will coordinate and manage all recruitment activities at the NVIT Burnaby campus and track and report on recruitment priorities, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
In addition, the REO will support the Events Planner in organizing campus events, contributing to event logistics, and assisting with event coordination. The role will involve participation in recruitment and event initiatives that require occasional travel, evening, and weekend work during peak times. This position will work closely with the Enrolment Services team to ensure a seamless experience for prospective students while fostering relationships with key Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
