Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Seasonal Recruiting Coordinator in Canada to lead full-cycle recruitment for field distribution center operations. You will identify candidates via resumes, local career fairs, networking, and sourcing, posting roles online, screening applicants, and coordinating interviews with HR and hiring managers.

You will also support events, background checks, onboarding, and documentation while ensuring compliance and timely processing.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of recruiting processes and hiring regulations.
• Experience with HR/recruiting systems preferred.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information effectively to groups of managers, customers, and co-workers.
• Ability to solve practical problems with concrete variables and limited standardization.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Responsibilities

• Owns full-cycle recruiting for seasonal field distribution center operations roles.
• Identifies candidates through resumes, career fairs, networking, and sourcing.
• Posts roles on career sites, reviews resumes, and conducts initial screenings.
• Communicates with local HR, field recruiting, and hiring managers during the process.
• Reports on metrics supporting the seasonal hiring initiative.
• Assists with organizing career fairs and hiring events for seasonal staff.
• Handles applications, offers, background checks, and verification with third parties, ensuring compliance.
• Ensures orientation invitations and check-in for new hires.
• Prepares access card availability and onboarding logistics.
• Confirms eligibility and submits IDs during onboarding.
• Conducts training and documents completion.
• Monitors attendance and supports exit processes.
• Submits information to timekeepers.
• Liaises with 3rd party agency reps.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

RECRUITING COORDINATOR - CA (seasonal)

Various Shifts (Start/End time could vary depending on business need)

• Monday - Friday, 9:00am- 5:30pm

The Seasonal Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for supporting a seasonal hiring initiative for field operations through full-cycle recruiting efforts. This position is responsible for attracting candidates and creating a pipeline of candidates for seasonal, high-volume warehouse work to maintain staffing plans.

What you will be doing:

• Owns full-cycle recruiting for seasonal field distribution center operations roles
• Identifies potential candidates through various forms of recruitment, such as resume review, local career fairs, networking, candidate sourcing
• Posts seasonal warehouse roles on career websites, reviews resumes, and conducts initial screenings of qualified candidates
• Communicates with local HR, field recruiting, and hiring managers through the search process
• Reports on metrics supporting the seasonal hiring initiative
• Assists HR and field recruiting with organizing and conducting careers fairs and hiring events for seasonal employees
• Supports employment activities, such as processing applications, presenting offer letters, submitting requests for background checks and previous employment verification to third-party vendors, ensuring compliance
• Ensures TM receive orientation invitations, are checked in
• Prepares access card availability and disbursement
• Confirms eligibility and submits ID when processing onboarding
• Conducts training and documents successful completion
• Monitors attendance and supports exit process
• Submits information to timekeepers
• Laise with 3rd party Agency representative
• Other duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

• Understanding of recruiting processes and hiring regulations
• Experience in HR and recruiting systems preferred
• PC literate to include Microsoft Office products
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and co-workers
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
