Job Description

We are looking for a Bilingual (French and English) Recruiter supporting recruitment activities for a large financial institution in Montreal. This is a 1-year assignment, subject to extensions. The client is a large financial institution, and the roles recruited for include finance, technical, and administrative positions.

This role reports to the Manager, Recruiting.

The successful candidate will have exposure to external markets and the competitive landscape, with the ability to develop an understanding of our business and talent strategies. The Recruiting Consultant will partner closely with hiring managers to develop effective sourcing strategies, specializing in direct sourcing, lead generation, and managing the hiring of quality candidates. There will be opportunities to work on special projects and recruitment initiatives.

Main Accountabilities:

  1. Explore recruiting best practices and implement selection and recruiting processes to fill vacancies.
  2. Interview potential candidates and identify quality candidates for second interviews with Hiring Managers.
  3. Develop an understanding of the external marketplace to support talent strategy and business requirements.
  4. Contribute to recruiting practices and policies.
  5. Manage a full requisition load while ensuring service and quality standards are met in a timely manner.
  6. Source high-quality candidates through direct recruiting in the marketplace using various sources and lead generation approaches.
  7. Participate in regular team meetings and continuous process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage a high volume of recruiting activities.
  • Ability to conduct capability-based interviews and knowledge of social media in recruiting.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, experience with an Applicant Tracking System, and ability to build relationships.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services market.
  • Technically agile and informed, with well-developed client focus and networking skills.
  • Customer service orientation, strong initiative, and sound judgment.

Qualifications: 3-5 years of recruiting experience. Education in an HR-related field is a plus. Experience with Taleo and a post-secondary degree or diploma are assets. CHRP designation is also an asset.
