Job description

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Recruiter II for their Vancouver, BC/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as the Talent Advisor for a designated portfolio, informing talent decisions with knowledge of the organization and external markets of the supported businesses.
  • Manage the recruitment process, including planning, assessing, and sourcing candidates.
  • Maintain an effective candidate pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Provide the business with a shortlist of screened candidates, leveraging enterprise hiring systems and assessment tools.
  • Create an optimal experience for Hiring Managers and candidates throughout the recruiting cycle, aligned with Client's customer experience model.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and programs related to recruitment.
  • Build effective relationships with HR partners, Centers of Excellence, Business units, and Talent Acquisition teams.
  • Provide market insights and support Talent Acquisition programs; report on recruitment activities and outcomes.
  • Coordinate advertising and branding activities to attract talent via internet, social media, and other channels.
  • Participate in or organize recruitment events with HR and Business teams.
  • Represent Client at various recruitment functions as needed.
  • Interact primarily with non-executive managers and occasionally with executive leaders.
  • Prioritize and manage workload to meet service level agreements.
  • Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and industry regulations and practices.
  • Maintain risk management and control culture, supporting effective processes aligned with the Bank's risk appetite.
  • Conduct research projects, prepare, and deliver presentations as needed.
  • Contribute to special initiatives as a subject matter expert.
  • Use data analysis to draw conclusions, make recommendations, and assess recruitment effectiveness.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting recruitment.
  • Measure performance based on KPIs such as time to offer, time to fill, pipeline development, and relationship management.
  • Engage with clients via email and phone, conduct virtual interviews via Microsoft Teams.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-4 years of proactive recruitment experience, including sourcing and headhunting.
  • Experience in high-volume recruitment environments.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Basic understanding of legal hiring policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of personnel recruitment, selection, and training principles.
  • Understanding of strategic planning principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in banking or financial services is preferred.
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing strategies.
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar HR platforms.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is an asset.
  • Proactive attitude, strong communication, attention to detail, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
