Job Title: Recruiter/ Bilingual Senior Talent Sourcer - Mandarin Speaking

Contract Duration: 1 year

Pay range: C$30 - 42/hr

Work Type: Hybrid – Currently 2x a month, but this could change in the future

Schedule: Mon to Fri – core business hours

Work Location: Can be located at any of these Toronto, Montreal, Halifax, Calgary, Vancouver

Department Overview

  • The External Talent Acquisition team is responsible for developing and implementing talent acquisition strategies, programs, processes, and technology to support global talent needs. In partnership with Talent Management and HR, they aim to deliver an integrated approach to meet current and future talent requirements.
  • The Senior Talent Sourcer partners with Talent Acquisition Delivery teams to source professionals across various business areas, including Financial Services, Advice & Services, Phone Channel, Technology, and leadership roles, promoting the client as an inclusionary employer.
  • This role involves utilizing advanced sourcing skills, cold calling, networking, database mining, and other recruitment techniques for current and future openings.
  • The Senior Talent Sourcer acts as an advisor, developing headhunting strategies for high-visibility projects, building market intelligence, and providing sourcing recommendations to business leaders, with agility to pivot searches as needed.
  • This position reports to the Manager, Enterprise Sourcing.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop target lists and sourcing strategies for requisitions and pipeline projects.
  • Source, qualify, and present candidates, adhering to service level guidelines.
  • Represent the client’s brand to prospects.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and the current marketplace.
  • Make initial contact with candidates, build relationships, and screen for suitability.
  • Manage applicant tracking system and candidate documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to EEO/Diversity programs.
  • Build a network of top talent, gather market intelligence, and assess candidates for role alignment.
  • Communicate effectively with recruiters and stakeholders, keeping them informed and engaged.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in recruiting or staffing, preferably in research, sourcing, or executive search.
  • At least 4+ years of full-time talent sourcing or recruitment experience supporting Finance, Retail, High Volume, Executive, Insurance, or Technology roles.
  • Proficiency with various sourcing methodologies, including social channels, sourcing tools, job boards, and internet networking.
  • Expertise in data analysis and market presentation using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Experience managing clients and internal partners.
  • Experience working with KPIs and results-driven environments.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and Boolean search strings.
  • Proven success in external headhunting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • University degree preferred.

Degree/Certifications

  • Post-secondary education required
  • HR designation (e.g., CHRP) is a plus

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
