Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Recruiter to provide consultation, advice, and recruitment support to hiring managers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.
Typical Day in Role:
- Responsible for full end-to-end recruitment support and consultations related to one designated business line.
- Liaise with industry organizations, recruitment vendors, and candidates.
- Independently generate candidate flow through various sourcing channels, including internal postings, internet recruiting, proactive networking, employee referrals, and researching other channels as appropriate.
- Identify appropriate sources and work with them to attract qualified candidates.
- Develop cost-effective, efficient, creative, and innovative sourcing solutions.
- Educate, consult, and transfer knowledge of staffing processes, diversity, interviewing skills, and legislation to hiring managers.
- Screen resumes and/or conduct telephone interviews to ensure candidates meet minimum recruitment criteria.
- Conduct interviews, provide support, and counsel hiring managers throughout the interviewing process.
- Gather and provide feedback/recommendations to candidates and hiring managers regarding strengths and development needs to determine and select the most qualified candidate.
- Manage recruitment information through the Applicant Tracking System (People-Click).
- Participate in special staffing projects as required.
Must-Have Skills:
- 3-9 years of experience recruiting for positions up to Executive/Managing Director level.
- Experience working with e-Recruitment tools and behavioral-based interviews.
- Strong sourcing skills to locate candidates with rare skill sets.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and proven ability to provide value-added, consultative service.
- Strong client service orientation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Possess or be working towards a Certified Human Resources Management (CHRP) certificate – would be an asset.
- Bilingualism (English and French), as you will regularly do business with bank partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French-speaking needs.
Soft Skills Required:
- Strong sourcing skills to locate candidates with rare skill sets.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and proven ability to provide value-added, consultative service.
