Job summary

Suncor is hiring a Recruiter for a 12-month temporary assignment based in Calgary. You will partner with hiring leaders and HR peers to drive full-cycle recruitment, from ad crafting to offer generation. This role is office-based with a standard 40-hour week.

Ideal candidates will have at least three years in-house recruitment experience, a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, and strong ATS proficiency to support a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Three years of in-house, full cycle recruitment experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related discipline or equivalent years experience.
• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems.
• Ability to assess talent and work with leadership to fill vacancies.

Responsibilities

• Build trust with hiring leaders and guide them through end-to-end recruitment.
• Craft engaging job ads to attract suitable candidates.
• Evaluate candidate qualifications to determine best match.
• Conduct behavioral-based interviews to assess knowledge, skills and aptitude.

Minimum Requirements:

• Three years of in-house, full cycle recruitment experience

• An excellent ability to assess talent and work with all levels of leadership to fill vacant roles

Responsibilities:

• Build trust and rapport with hiring leaders while guiding them through the end-to-end recruitment process
• Craft engaging job ads to attract the right talent for the role
• Evaluate candidate qualifications in relation to the position requirements to determine a successful match
• Conduct behavioral-based interviews to assess candidate knowledge, skills, experience and aptitude against the corresponding vacancy
• Build accurate offer letters to support your clear articulation of our employee value proposition to prospective new hires

Location and other Key Details:

• This is a temporary position for a period of 12 months
• This is an office based role and you will work out of our Calgary head office or our Fort McMurray Stoney Creek office
• Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday
