Adecco is currently hiring a full-time Recruiter to join our client’s HR team in Calgary, AB. As the Recruiter, you will play a key role in managing and executing the full recruitment cycle, ensuring the seamless delivery of talent acquisition services that align with the organization’s strategic goals. This role partners closely with hiring managers, HR colleagues, and candidates to deliver a positive, equitable, and compliant recruitment experience.

  • Pay Rate: up to $35.00/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of the recruitment process, including drafting and posting job ads, screening resumes, developing interview materials, shortlisting and interviewing candidates, coordinating reference checks, and preparing employment offers.
  • Ensure all recruitment documentation and offer details are accurate and compliant, recognizing the impact errors can have on the candidate experience, leadership confidence, and downstream HR processes including Employee & Labour Relations, Payroll, and Benefits.
  • Collaborate with the Classification and Compensation team to verify position types, confirm job classifications, and recommend appropriate salary levels for Exempt and Management positions.
  • Guide hiring managers through the applicant tracking system (ATS) to complete all required forms, approvals, and processes.
  • Design and implement sourcing strategies to attract top talent who align with the organization’s culture and role requirements.
  • Use internal and external networks to identify, engage, and build pipelines of diverse, qualified candidates.
  • Act as an ambassador for the organization at career fairs and other external events, promoting the company as an employer of choice.
  • Champion a seamless and positive recruitment journey for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Communicate recruitment outcomes clearly, providing timely updates and respectful notifications to all applicants.
  • Discuss compensation, benefits, and relevant policies with successful candidates during offer discussions.
  • Act as a professional representative of the organization, maintaining a strong public relations presence throughout interactions.
  • Monitor key recruitment metrics and prepare regular reports to support workforce planning and enhance process effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of recruitment systems, processes, and candidate/hiring manager experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience managing end-to-end recruitment, ideally within a unionized, post-secondary, or public sector setting.
  • Solid understanding of Human Rights legislation, employment standards, FOIP, and EDI principles as they apply to recruitment.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build trust with stakeholders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with clear understanding of the downstream impact of recruitment data on Payroll, Benefits, and Employee & Labour Relations
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
